TWISTED SISTER Announce 50th Anniversary World Tour: “We Still Wanna Rock!”

Dust off the denim and leather: Twisted Sister are officially back. The band that gave us “We’re Not Gonna Take It” and “I Wanna Rock” have confirmed they’ll storm stages worldwide in 2026 to celebrate their 50th anniversary — five decades of volume, rebellion, and unapologetic glam metal excess.

Founding guitarist and manager Jay Jay French reflected on the milestone: “Beginning on February 2nd, 1976 in a little bar called The Turtleneck Inn in Hunter Mountain, NY, Dee Snider, Eddie Ojeda and I have called ourselves Twisted Sister and stood shoulder to shoulder for nearly five decades, through multiple personnel changes and thousands of performances. We are proud to celebrate a milestone that once felt unthinkable: a 50-year anniversary!! We have created a music and performance legacy that has and will continue to inspire millions of fans around the world. Twisted Forever, Forever Twisted!”

Lead guitarist Eddie Ojeda added: “Fifty years on, and Twisted Sister is still the soundtrack for every rebel with a reason and a reason to turn it up.”

But it was Dee Snider who raised the horns highest: “If you’re lucky enough to be in a band that people still want to see after fifty years(!), how can you not answer the call? In 2026, Twisted Fucking Sister will hit stages around the world because WE STILL WANNA ROCK!!”

The band last toured in 2016 with drummer Mike Portnoy following the tragic death of longtime sticksman A.J. Pero. For this anniversary run, they’ll welcome back Joe “Seven” Franco on drums, returning to the fold for the first time since recording and touring Love Is For Suckers in 1987, with Russell Pzütto on bass, a familiar face from Snider‘s solo projects and previous Twisted Sister appearances.

Tour dates are still under wraps, but with their 50th looming, fans can expect big stages, bigger choruses, and enough eyeliner to supply MTV’s glory years all over again. For the SMFs who’ve waited nearly a decade, 2026 is shaping up to be a twisted homecoming.
