What brings them to recommend to babies that have zero risk vaccines that could harm their heart?!
Retsef Levi is a Professor of Operations Management at MIT and ACIP member who experienced the pandemic from his laptop. He was a spectator. However, this lack of real-world responsibility didn’t stop him from claiming he knew more about how to keep children healthy than pediatricians, the doctors who will be there if your child gets sick. Unlike them, he believes unvaccinated babies should suffer from COVID in perpetuity.
Recently, after government disinformation forced the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) to issue independent vaccine guidelines, Levi responded with the following Tweet.
August 19, 2025
This is the kind of obvious nonsense that I’ve debunked here for years.
- Levi feels parents should be denied the right to protect their children because the COVID vaccine isn’t popular, an outcome he worked tirelessly to create.
- Babies do not have “zero risk” of COVID. In reality, they have the highest risk of all children, and they don’t arrive with natural immunity. At least in their formal publications, even disinformation doctors Vinay Prasad and Marty Makary were forced to concede that their risk was “on par with those for adults 50 to 64 years old.”
- The vaccine isn’t perfect, but it helps protect our youngest children.
- Despite Levi’s emotionally manipulative use of a broken heart emoji, the vaccine poses no risk to babies. Vaccine-myocarditis almost exclusively occurs in males ages 12-24, and even then, it is rare, mild, and transient. Levi treats this as a fate worse than death from COVID. He yawns at that.
Incredibly, people like this are in charge of vaccine policy for the entire country thanks to RFK Jr. and all the doctors who enabled him.

Astonishing that pro-mercury in kids is their battle cry!! @AmerAcadPeds
However Levi is doing more than spreading disinformation. Although he is a member of the the ACIP, he is behaving like a teenage Twitter troll, lobbing unprofessional attacks against the AAP. While medical societies are not sacrosanct or beyond reproach, they are composed of doctors who care for patients in the real world, unlike Levi. Unintentionally revealing what motivates him, Levi speculated the AAP was motivated by financial interests, personal vendetta and fanaticism. He simply can’t imagine that pediatricians just want to keep children healthy.
Unfortunately, these vile, juvenile accusations are par for the course for our medical establishment. They’ve behaved like this way for years, and such accusations are what catapulted them to power in the first place. Other recent examples are below:

July 1, 2025
This is disinformation. In reality, vaccines do not contain elemental mercury.

August 19, 2025
This is disinformation. In reality, vaccines save money by keeping children out of the hospital.

August 15, 2025
This is disinformation. In reality, the AMA’s support for vaccine mandates in 2021 is not the reason Nobel Prize winning research is being defunded in 2025.
Dr. Vinay Prasad, meanwhile wrote entire essays like this.

If you stand for evidence based public health interventions, you basically get a target placed on your by DHHS leadership
Safe in their offices, their brains pickled by social media, our juvenile medical establishment is united not just in their disregard for basic facts, but in their contempt and loathing for anyone who operates in the real world. Children’s health is just a game to them, an opportunity to score another Twitter dunk against their anointed villains, doctors who work in clinics and hospitals. Our medical establishment is not trying to make logical, scientific arguments. They are appealing to raw emotions. They are trying to make people furious, rageful, and distrustful- a story I tell in the sequel to We Want Them Infected.

However, this is about more than just another attempt to summon a vengeful social media mob. This is dangerous. There are a lot of unstable, angry people out there, and it’s easy to get powerful guns in the US. Three of the four tweets attacking the AMA and AAP were sent after the horrific terrorist attack at the CDC. If that happens again, we’ll know why and who bears responsibility.
